An Act to give effect to the Red River Métis Self-Government Recognition and Implementation Treaty and to make consequential amendments to other Acts

Implements the self-government treaty negotiated between Canada and the Red River Métis. Recognizes the Manitoba Métis Federation as the Métis governing body and transfers a defined set of federal powers (citizenship, child welfare, language) to it.
