Jean-Francois Roberge is the Quebec Minister of the French Language and Minister responsible for Secularism in the Frechette CAQ cabinet, sworn in April 15, 2026. Coalition Avenir Quebec MNA for Chambly since 2014 (originally CAQ-aligned independent, then CAQ from 2017). Former school teacher. Quebec Minister of Education from 2018 to 2022 in the Legault government, where he piloted Bill 40 (school-board abolition); now leads the Bill 96 (Charter of the French Language) implementation and Bill 21 (state-secularism) legal defence files.
