Karina Gould is Government House Leader (since March 14, 2025) and MP for Burlington (Ontario), elected in 2015. At age 30 she became the youngest woman ever to serve in a Canadian federal Cabinet, as Minister of Democratic Institutions (2017-2019). Subsequently Minister of International Development (2019-2021) and Minister of Families, Children and Social Development (2021-2024) where she negotiated the $10-a-day child care bilateral agreements with every province and territory.
