Diane Lebouthillier is Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard (since July 26, 2023) and MP for Gaspésie-Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine (Quebec), elected in 2015. Previously Minister of National Revenue (2015-2023) under Justin Trudeau, the longest-serving Revenue Minister in Canadian history. As Fisheries Minister she has led the federal response on Atlantic groundfish quotas, the wild Pacific salmon strategy, and the Marine Protected Areas commitment that Canada has pursued under the global 30 by 30 target.
