Jennifer Whiteside

Jennifer Whiteside is the British Columbia Minister of Labour in the Eby NDP government. BC NDP MLA for New Westminster-Coquitlam since 2020. Before politics she was the secretary-business manager of the Hospital Employees' Union. She previously served as Minister of Education and Child Care and as Minister of Mental Health and Addictions, where she oversaw BC's response to the toxic-drug public-health emergency. Her labour file covers employment standards, WorkSafeBC, and collective-bargaining frameworks.
