Mike Schreiner is Leader of the Green Party of Ontario (since November 14, 2009) and MPP for Guelph (first elected in 2018, becoming the first Green MPP in Ontario history, re-elected in 2022). Before politics he co-founded the Local Food Plus farm-certification organization. Schreiner has held the Green Party of Ontario's only legislative seat since 2018, focusing his caucus output on Greenbelt protection (he led the opposition exposing the Greenbelt land-swap scandal that triggered the 2023 RCMP investigation), housing-as-of-right zoning reform, and mental-health care funding.
