Josie Osborne is Minister of Health of British Columbia (since December 7, 2022). MLA for Mid Island-Pacific Rim, elected in 2020. Before politics she was Mayor of Tofino (2013-2020) and a marine biologist. Previously Minister of Municipal Affairs (2020-2022) under John Horgan. As Health Minister she has led the BC response to the family-doctor shortage (the BC Doctors of Tomorrow expansion), the 2023 BC drug-decriminalization pilot revisions, the 2025 discontinuance under Bill 21, and the BC pharmacare bilateral with Ottawa.
