Adriana LaGrange is Minister of Health of Alberta (since June 9, 2023). MLA for Red Deer-North, elected in 2019. Previously Minister of Education (2019-2023) under Jason Kenney and Danielle Smith, where she introduced the K-6 curriculum redesign that drew widespread teacher and parent pushback. As Health Minister she has led the restructuring of Alberta Health Services into four specialized authorities (acute, primary, mental health, continuing care) under Bill 26 of the 31st Legislature 1st Session and the controversial 2024 provincial regulations restricting medical care for transgender youth and adults.
