Mario Beaulieu is Bloc Québécois House Whip and MP for La Pointe-de-l'Île (Quebec), elected in 2019. Briefly served as leader of the Bloc Québécois from June 2014 to March 2015 during a tumultuous internal period. Before becoming an MP he was a long-time activist in Quebec's language-rights movement, serving as President of Société Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Montréal (2009-2014). His parliamentary work has focused on federal French-language application in Quebec's federally regulated workplaces.
