Heath MacDonald

MP for Malpeque. Former PEI Liberal MLA and provincial cabinet minister; took the federal seat in 2021. Represented Cornwall-Meadowbank in the PEI Legislative Assembly from 2015 to 2019, serving as Minister of Finance, Energy and Municipal Affairs in the Wade MacLauchlan government from 2015 to 2019. Briefly led the PEI Liberal Party from 2019 to 2020 during the rebuilding period after the party's reduction to opposition status. At the federal level he sits on the House Standing Committees on Finance and on Veterans Affairs, with particular focus on rural-Canada and Atlantic economic-development files.
