Rebecca Schulz is Minister of Environment and Protected Areas of Alberta (since June 9, 2023). MLA for Calgary-Shaw, elected in 2019. Previously Minister of Municipal Affairs (2022-2023) and Minister of Children's Services (2019-2022) under Jason Kenney. Was a candidate in the 2022 UCP leadership race that elected Danielle Smith. As Environment Minister she has led Alberta's opposition to federal Clean Electricity Regulations, the provincial response to the 2023 record wildfire season, and the Alberta carbon-pricing TIER program for industrial emitters.
