Becky Druhan is the Nova Scotia Liberal MLA for Lunenburg West, caucus chair, and shadow critic for Health and Wellness, Seniors and Long-Term Care, and Housing. A lawyer by training, she was first elected in 2021 as a Progressive Conservative and served as Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development from 2021 to 2024, then as Minister of Justice and Attorney General after the PC re-election in 2024. She left cabinet in October 2025, sat as an Independent through the winter of 2025-26, and crossed the floor to the Nova Scotia Liberals on May 11, 2026. She has confirmed she will run in the Nova Scotia Liberal Party leadership contest.
