
Mike Colle is a Toronto City Councillor for Eglinton-Lawrence (Ward 8), first elected in 2018 and re-elected in 2022. Before becoming a city councillor he served as the Ontario Liberal MPP for Eglinton-Lawrence from 1995 to 2018, holding cabinet positions under Dalton McGuinty including Minister of Citizenship and Immigration (2005-2007) and Minister Responsible for Seniors (2010-2011). Lost his MPP seat to PC Robin Martin in 2018. As a city councillor he has focused on the Eglinton Crosstown LRT delivery, the Eglinton Avenue West reconstruction, and the protection of mature trees in north Toronto neighbourhoods under the Tree Protection Bylaw.
