Chris d'Entremont is the federal Liberal MP for Acadie-Annapolis (Nova Scotia), first elected in 2019 as a Conservative (when the riding was known as West Nova) and re-elected in 2021, 2025 before crossing the floor to the Liberals on November 4, 2025. The first MP to cross to the Carney Liberals after the April 28, 2025 election, becoming the model for four subsequent floor crossings. Cited issues with the leadership of Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre, saying that Conservative House leader Andrew Scheer and party whip Chris Warkentin "barged" into his office and yelled at him, which "sealed the deal" on his decision. Previously served as Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons (2023-2025) and was Nova Scotia Minister of Health (2003-2006) under Progressive Conservative Premier John Hamm. Fluent in French and active member of the federal Acadian community.
