
Marco MacLeod is the Nova Scotia Minister of Energy, sworn in by Premier Tim Houston on May 27, 2026 in the cabinet shuffle that grew the Houston government's executive to 24 members. Progressive Conservative MLA for Pictou West since the 2024 by-election, re-elected in the 2024 general election. Before becoming Energy Minister, MacLeod served as ministerial assistant for Energy under Premier Houston and prior Energy Minister Trevor Boudreau. Before politics, he ran the family seventh-generation farm and sawmill in Scotsburn, after a career first as a commercial flight instructor and then as a process engineer and plant manager at Michelin.
